Happy Monday, everyone! It’s the last day of October and I’ve realised this month there’s been a few things I’ve loved. As I love reading other people’s monthly favourites, I thought I’d give it a go! It ranges from beauty, to food and I’m also going to add my favourite gym move into the mix to spice things up! Let’s get started!
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
After not using this foundation for months after using the Clinique Skin Anti-Blemish Solutions BB cream (see previous post), I decided to whip this bad boy back out. I instantly remembered why this is my Holy Grail foundation! It blends perfectly and makes my skin look and feel amazing! It’s more coverage than the Clinique BB cream, and as winter is dawning, I want something with slightly more coverage that isn’t too heavy on the skin. If I wear this foundation for a full day at work, I won’t need to top up or add any powder. It’s just brilliant stuff. A MUST have. I can’t believe I haven’t used it for so long! If you are on the look out for a new foundation… try Nars Sheer Glow. It won’t disappoint!
Nars Light Reflecting Powder
Carrying on with the Nars theme (can you tell I love this brand?!), I need to mention this product. Although I’ve not branched out in the world of powders, I love this so much that when I eventually run out, I will have to repurchase!
It’s a translucent loose powder, so it can get messy if you’re not careful! But, it blurs your skin, making it look pretty perfect! I use it for under my eyes to prevent creasing and in my T-Zone. I’ve had it for over a year now, and I still have almost half left. I use it every day, so although it’s on the pricey side, it’s definitely worth the money!

Grenade Carb Killa Bars in ‘White Chocolate Cookie’
You may think this is just any other regular protein bar out there, but this is just incredible! It tastes like a DREAM. I am a massive chocolate lover, and I can honestly tell you that this tastes like a Milky Bar… but better! Although it is a protein bar, it doesn’t have the chewy texture, or protein taste. If you were to try this without knowing what it was, you would 100% think it’s chocolate.
The macros are excellent too. Per bar – 214kcal, 23.2g protein, 13.5g carbs and 7.9g fat.
If you want to try some different protein bars, or even just want a snack to take away the sweet craving, then look no further. I 100% recommend these!
Top tip – microwave for 10 seconds for extra gooeyness! Thank me later…
Gym ‘Move of the Month’
HIIT on the Stepper
Yes, you read that right. The stepper machine. I love training HIIT at the gym, but sometimes repeating the same thing on the treadmill can get boring, so I decided to switch it up and attempt HIIT on the stepper.
Oh-my-lord. This burns so much! The stepper machine is a killer as it is, so to do my HIIT session on it, may seem a little crazy! Your legs will be on fire but it’s a definite love-hate relationship! Well, it is for me! I do 30secs on as fast as possible (running pace), and 30secs steady and repeat for 15 minutes. This will definitely burn the calories and pump up your heart rate. I have loved mixing it into my gym routine recently, so this is a definite ‘move of the month’ for me. Try it… if you dare!
