Three Coats You Need This Winter

Every Autumn/Winter I never seem to have enough coats, and stick to one main one to get me through the season. So this AW16 you could say I’ve been a bit ‘OTT’ on the coat front. I’ve treated myself to not one but three spankin’ new coats! So you could say this is definitely too much, but considering I’ve been hiding under a rock on the coat front and as they are all different styles, (let’s face it, one coat is not enough to use for everything), a slight splurge is definitely needed! Do you agree? I thought so!

So here are my top three coats for the season.

Suede Effect and Fleecy Jacket – Zara

Now this jacket is so, so warm and cosy! I absolutely love it! There are so many similar ones out there at the minute; I’m tempted to get another! It’s the perfect ‘casual’ coat you can wear with your skinny jeans and ankle boots – the best combination! The colour is perfect and the style is so on point, I’m definitely going to be wearing it through to Spring! When I saw this in Zara, I instantly knew I had to have it, and I’m glad I’ve got it in my collection. I think it’s a necessity in everyone’s wardrobes.

I’m LOVING Zara at the minute too, so many things in my basket I just know I can’t resist. I’m feeling a Zara haul heading my way very soon!

Barbour International Enduro Quilted Jacket – Very Exclusive

The classic Barbour coat. Super iconic, but unfortunately quite on the pricey side! I’ve wanted a Barbour for years, but could never justify spending the money on one. Who’s with me?! So why did I get this? Well if you have never heard of ‘Very Exclusive’ you need to check it out now! They sell designer high street clothes, where you can spread the cost over three months. When I bought this, they also had 20% discount offer on… errrrm yes please!

I wanted a parka style coat as they are probably the most ‘useful’ coats to have over the winter months. Perfect for long walks, or to nip to the shops. The reason I got this particular one was for the fit and style. It is quite a slim fit, which I find super flattering, and it goes without saying the quality is amazing. So if you want to invest in a Barbour, I highly recommend checking out Very Exclusive first if you can’t justify spending that amount of money in one go. Unfortunately, this particular one has now sold out on Very Exclusive (probably Black Friday madness), but I have linked it here.

Wool Blend Trapeze Coat in Mid Length – ASOS

My third and final coat purchase is this ASOS coat. I love this colour, length and style – it is just what I need to add to my winter wardrobe. This is my ‘dressy’ coat. I wear this for days out where I’m dressed up more than usual and I even wear it for evenings out too. It is a loose fit, which drapes over the body, with a swing style. I think it is so flattering and instantly adds ‘class’ to an outfit. I love it over mini dresses and over the knee boots, but it still looks amazing paired with skinny jeans and knitwear. If I could style a coat, this would be it! Ticks all the boxes for me!

I got this a few months ago now, but it is still on the ASOS website. And with 20% off everything at the moment, this is a coat must have!

As you can probably tell, coats are my current obsession! Let me know what’s on your wish list… I’m sure I could add a few more to the collection #coataddict.

Love,

  1. Definitely love all your coats, but the third one is WOW! You look very elegant and sexy in it. At the moment, on my wishlist is faux fur pink coat. I don’t know what has happened to me, cause I was never that girly kind of person, but a quess that’s why I need it – to match all my black clothes.xD Once again, love your post and you have inspired me, bravo. 😉
